Malabar Bindery is two people, a bone folder, and a kettle that never quite boils on time. We sew notebooks and sketchbooks from cotton rag made in Kerala mills, then dry the sheets on lines that catch the wind off the harbor. There is no cart and no drop-shipping. If you want a book, you come by the lane or you write, and we start when the paste is mixed.
